About The Role
We are seeking an experienced SC Cleared Azure DevOps Engineer to join a prominent government organization. This role requires a highly skilled professional who can operate independently and deliver impactful solutions in a complex, secure environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-availability cloud infrastructure solutions within Azure, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and DevOps best practices. This is a hands-on technical position that involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment, security, and operational excellence of cloud services. The role offers flexibility with remote working options and is outside IR35, providing an excellent opportunity for a proactive engineer to contribute to critical government projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with Azure cloud platform, including extensive knowledge of Azure DevOps, networking, and security configurations.
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Bicep, with a focus on modular and reusable code development.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly using GitHub Actions for orchestrating complex deployment workflows.
- Security clearance at the SC level or higher, with a demonstrated understanding of government security standards and protocols.
- Familiarity with Landing Zones, high availability architectures, failover strategies, and load balancing in Azure environments.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Checkov and Terratest, integrating security and compliance gates into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, and highly available Azure infrastructure solutions using IaC tools like Terraform and Bicep.
- Lead the automation of deployment processes through CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficiency and repeatability.
- Develop and maintain Azure Landing Zones, ensuring adherence to best practices for security, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Implement high availability architectures, including load balancing, failover mechanisms, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Manage Azure security configurations, including Managed Identities, Private Endpoints, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Conduct automated security testing and validation within CI/CD pipelines using tools like Checkov and Terratest.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues promptly.
- Stay updated with the latest Azure features, DevOps tools, and industry best practices to continuously improve infrastructure and deployment processes.
