Digital Technology Manager (Contract)

Outside IR35 | 3-Month Initial Contract | North Yorkshire | Hybrid (3 days onsite)

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Digital Technology Manager to join a well-established Yorkshire-based organisation on an initial 3-month outside IR35 contract.

This is a hands-on technical role providing cover for a key member of the technology team and will focus heavily on cyber security, infrastructure and compliance-related projects.

The immediate priorities for this assignment will be the implementation and optimisation of Sophos MDR and AppCheck, alongside supporting wider security, risk and compliance initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys getting involved in technical delivery rather than people management and can quickly assess, improve and implement security controls within an existing environment.Key

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and optimisation of Sophos MDR
  • Implement and configure AppCheck vulnerability management and monitoring solutions
  • Support and enhance the organisation's cyber security posture
  • Assist with Cyber Essentials Plus compliance activities
  • Work closely with third-party security partners and MSP providers
  • Review infrastructure, systems and security controls, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Support wider compliance, governance and risk management initiatives
  • Act as a senior technical escalation point for infrastructure and security-related issues
  • Provide technical recommendations to stakeholders and leadership teams
  • Document processes, controls and implementation activities

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience with Sophos MDR
  • Experience implementing or administering AppCheck (or similar vulnerability management platforms)
  • Strong cyber security, infrastructure and systems administration background
  • Experience working with compliance, governance and risk management frameworks
  • Experience managing or working alongside MSPs and third-party suppliers
  • Strong Microsoft infrastructure and cloud experience (Microsoft 365/Azure)
  • Ability to work autonomously and deliver outcomes in a contract environment
