We are supporting a leading London Market insurance client seeking an experienced Product Owner to take ownership of their Underscore digital trading applications.

The platform connects clients, producing brokers and insurers through a digital trading environment, supporting automated binding workflows and wider digital partnerships. This is a key product role working closely with the Underscore team, with direct exposure to brokers, carriers and producing brokers.

This is a true Product Owner position, focused on owning product direction, roadmap priorities and delivering value-driven outcomes. You will work closely with engineering teams, Business Analysts and business stakeholders to evolve the platform and help shape its future direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Own product vision, strategy and roadmap for the Underscore digital trading applications.
• Prioritise features and manage product delivery based on business value.
• Lead and support a small team of Business Analysts.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and development teams.
• Work directly with brokers, carriers and business stakeholders to understand needs and shape solutions.
• Help define future platform strategy, including modernisation and potential replatforming initiatives.

Essential Experience

• Previous Product Owner experience delivering digital products within insurance environments.
• Experience building or evolving digital trading platforms or applications.
• Strong understanding of London Market insurance and broking workflows.
• Experience working directly with engineering/development teams.
• Proven ability to manage roadmaps, prioritise features and influence stakeholders.
• Commercially minded with a focus on outcomes and value delivery.
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working directly with brokers or market participants to develop digital solutions.
• Exposure to platform modernisation or replatforming initiatives.
• Experience delivering innovative products rather than large-scale Legacy transformation programmes.
