Senior Full Stack Product Engineer (.NET/AI) - SC Clearance Eligible

6 Month Contract | Outside IR35 | Extension Likely

We're looking for an experienced Senior Product Engineer/Senior Software Engineer to join a team building secure, modern software within a highly regulated environment.

This role is ideal for an engineer who combines strong full stack development skills with a product engineering mindset and has practical experience using AI to accelerate software development. You'll be working on sophisticated, security-focused platforms where resilience, scalability and secure engineering principles are paramount.

Experience designing or enhancing highly secure messaging or communications systems would be particularly valuable.

Essential Requirements

• Eligible to obtain SC Clearance (must have the right to undergo UK Security Check clearance)
• Proven commercial experience using AI-assisted development tools (eg GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or similar) to improve engineering productivity and software delivery
• Strong experience with C#/.NET/.NET Core
• Strong Front End engineering skills with TypeScript & JavaScript
• Full stack development experience across modern web applications
• Experience with wireframing, rapid prototyping, proof-of-concept development, and translating ideas into production-ready software
• Experience designing, developing and enhancing existing software products
• Comfortable working autonomously and contributing to technical decisions
• Experience working closely with product teams, stakeholders and other engineers

• Building highly secure messaging or communications platforms
• Working within secure engineering environments
• Research & Development (R&D) environments, taking concepts from experimentation through to working prototypes and production solutions
• Rapid prototyping and iterative product development
• Zero Trust architectures and principles
• Data classification and secure data handling
• AI-enabled software platforms
• Supporting AI model deployment or model conversion
• ONNX (Open Neural Network Exchange)
• Secure-by-design software engineering practices

The Ideal Candidate

You'll likely be a Senior Product Engineer or Senior Software Engineer with experience delivering scalable software within complex technical environments.

You'll be comfortable working in an R&D-led environment, rapidly validating ideas through prototyping before evolving them into robust, production-ready solutions. You'll enjoy solving challenging engineering problems, be comfortable making technical decisions, and understand how to balance security, usability and performance.
