ETL / Oracle Migration Engineer (Contract) at hedgehog lab, Edinburgh, £Contract Rate

This is a specialist role for someone who knows Oracle migration tooling inside out. You'll move data off legacy Oracle systems onto Snowflake for a large regulated organisation.

The GoldenGate and ODI combination is the hard part of this programme, which is exactly why we want someone who has done it before.

What you'll do:

• Build and run ETL processes using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).

• Set up and manage change data capture with Oracle GoldenGate.

• Feed Oracle data reliably into Snowflake during migration.

• Keep legacy and target in sync while the wider migration runs.

What we're looking for:

• Deep, hands-on experience with Oracle ODI.

• Real GoldenGate CDC experience, not just awareness of it.

• Strong SQL and PL/SQL.

• Experience migrating Oracle data into a cloud warehouse, Snowflake ideally.

• Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot as part of your everyday workflow.

Bonus points for dbt and financial services experience.

The details:

• Contract, outside IR35.

• 3 to 6 months, with strong potential to extend.

• Hybrid. You'll work from the client's London, Bristol or Edinburgh office a couple of times a week.
