Cisco Network Engineer - Cisco ISE, TrustSec, 802.1X - 6 Month Contract - Outside IR35 - £400 per day

TrinIT Talent are looking for an experienced Cisco Network Engineer to join our client on an initial 6-month contract. This role is Outside IR35, paying £400 per day, and requires 10 days per month onsite in Central London.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a large enterprise programme focused on delivering secure network access, Cisco ISE enhancements and TrustSec micro-segmentation across a complex Cisco environment.

Job Description:

You will be responsible for designing, implementing and supporting Cisco ISE and TrustSec solutions, working closely with network and security teams to deliver secure authentication and policy enforcement across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Cisco ISE solutions, including 802.1X and MAB authentication.

• Deploy Cisco TrustSec using Security Group Tags (SGTs) for micro-segmentation.

• Configure and support Inline Tagging and SXP.

• Configure Cisco Catalyst Switches to support ISE, TrustSec and SGT policies.

• Configure and troubleshoot Dot1X and MAB authentication.

• Perform end-to-end testing of ISE policies, TrustSec enforcement, authentication and logging.

• Troubleshoot certificate management and authentication issues within Cisco ISE.

• Produce technical documentation, runbooks and operational handover documentation.

• Work closely with network, infrastructure and security teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Skills:

• Strong commercial experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).

• Proven experience implementing Cisco TrustSec and SGT-based micro-segmentation.

• Experience with Inline Tagging and SXP.

• Strong Cisco Catalyst switch configuration experience.

• Excellent knowledge of 802.1X and MAB authentication.

• Strong troubleshooting skills across Cisco ISE, LAN and Wireless technologies.

• Experience managing certificates within Cisco ISE.

• Exposure to Silver Peak SD-WAN would be beneficial.
