A leading London Market insurer is seeking an experienced Senior Product Analyst to play a pivotal role in the transformation of its underwriting technology landscape. Working at the heart of a major Policy Administration System (PAS) modernisation programme, you will partner with underwriting, operations and technology teams to design and deliver digital capabilities that enhance the end-to-end policy lifecycle.

This is an excellent opportunity to influence product strategy, shape future platform capabilities and deliver meaningful improvements to underwriting processes across the London Market.

The Role

  • Lead discovery activities to identify business challenges, uncover improvement opportunities and define innovative product solutions across the underwriting lifecycle.
  • Partner with Underwriters, Underwriting Assistants, Operations, Compliance, Technology and Architecture teams to ensure products are aligned with business priorities and user needs.
  • Support the development of the product roadmap by evaluating business value, implementation complexity, strategic alignment and operational impact.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews and process reviews to validate requirements, explore solution options and build consensus across multiple business areas.
  • Produce high-quality artefacts including user journeys, feature definitions, acceptance criteria, business cases and decision papers to support successful delivery.
  • Work closely with Product Owners and Agile delivery teams to refine backlogs, prioritise initiatives and ensure features deliver measurable commercial and operational outcomes.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and third-party vendors to assess platform capabilities, integration requirements and configuration options within a modern PAS environment.
  • Define and monitor success measures including operational efficiency, data quality, user adoption, process improvements and business benefits following implementation.
  • Support solution validation through demonstrations, testing activities and stakeholder feedback, ensuring delivered functionality meets both business and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain robust documentation, governance artefacts and product decisions, providing clear traceability throughout the product lifecycle.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong experience as a Product Analyst, Senior Business Analyst or Product Owner delivering technology change within the London Market insurance sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of London Market underwriting processes, including policy administration, endorsements, renewals, delegated authority and Lloyd's market operations.
  • Hands-on experience working with Policy Administration Systems (PAS) and underwriting platforms, ideally through implementation, enhancement or replacement programmes.
  • Proven ability to bridge business and technology teams, translating complex operational requirements into practical product solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, backlog management, feature refinement and collaborative product development.
  • Comfortable analysing operational and underwriting data to support decision-making, prioritisation and continuous product improvement.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills, with experience influencing senior business and technology leaders.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, along with exposure to London Market integrations, SQL or data analysis, would be advantageous
