We're recruiting for an experienced Snowflake Lead Architect to join a large-scale data platform transformation programme supporting customers across Defence, Public Sector, National Security and Critical National Infrastructure.

This role will see you leading the design, governance and optimisation of an enterprise Snowflake platform while helping shape the future operating model. Working closely with senior architects and engineering teams, you'll provide technical leadership across platform architecture, security, automation and governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and optimisation of enterprise Snowflake platforms.
• Define and implement platform governance, security and RBAC.
• Deliver platform maturity assessments and future operating models.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Drive automation, monitoring, observability and FinOps best practices.
• Provide technical leadership across architecture, engineering and platform operations.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale Snowflake platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Snowflake Security, Governance and RBAC.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with platform optimisation, monitoring and FinOps.
• Cloud platform expertise across AWS and/or Azure.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data platform architecture and governance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and technical leadership skills.

Desirable

• Experience delivering projects within Defence, Central Government, National Security or Critical National Infrastructure.
• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance.
