User Researcher

We're looking for an experienced User Researcher with a strong background in UK government or public sector digital services.

What you'll do

• Plan and deliver user research across the service lifecycle.
• Generate actionable insights to inform service design and delivery.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure decisions are evidence-based and user-centred.
• Communicate research findings clearly to stakeholders and influence decision-making.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience conducting user research within UK government, GDS, or the wider public sector.
• Strong understanding of the GDS Service Standard and user-centred design principles.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in agile environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Ability to deliver high-quality research in fast-paced, complex programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
• A strategic, pragmatic mindset with the ability to adapt quickly
• Confidence balancing research quality with delivery needs
