Contract Length: 6 Months
Start: ASAP

Rate : £750 - £850 per day outside of IR35

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to support a large-scale infrastructure transformation programme. This role will focus on ensuring a new end-user technology platform integrates seamlessly with the wider enterprise environment, spanning networking, identity, security, cloud, service management and core infrastructure.

Working across multiple technical teams, you will provide architectural leadership, ensure alignment with enterprise standards, and help shape the target architecture while managing dependencies across the wider technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the target enterprise architecture for the integration of end-user technologies into the wider infrastructure estate.
  • Lead architectural governance activities, including design reviews, technical approvals and architecture board engagement.
  • Design integration approaches across networking, identity and access management, security, cloud and IT service management platforms.
  • Work closely with technical workstreams to identify and resolve cross-functional dependencies and integration risks.
  • Review high and low-level designs to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles and governance standards.
  • Produce and maintain architectural roadmaps that support the transition into business-as-usual operations.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect delivering complex infrastructure or digital transformation programmes.
  • Strong background integrating enterprise platforms across multiple infrastructure domains rather than specialising in a single technology area.
  • Experience providing architectural leadership across several technical delivery teams within structured governance frameworks.
  • Previous experience working in highly regulated environments such as financial services, government, healthcare, pharmaceuticals or utilities.
  • Comfortable operating within large, global organisations and collaborating with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and senior business stakeholders.

Technical Skills

  • Enterprise infrastructure architecture covering networking, security, identity, cloud, compute, data and IT service management.
  • Integration of enterprise platforms including IAM, CMDB, ITSM, SIEM and SOC technologies.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise identity solutions, federation, privileged access and Conditional Access.
  • Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures, network segmentation, governance and secure connectivity.
  • Experience with architecture governance, design authorities, architecture review boards and architectural decision records.

Desirable

  • Experience within banking or financial services.
  • Previous involvement in global end-user or workplace transformation programmes.
  • TOGAF, Zachman or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification.
