Overview

We are seeking experienced Solution Architects to join a high-profile digital transformation programme. The successful candidates will play a critical role in shaping end-to-end technology solutions, ensuring alignment between business requirements, enterprise architecture standards, and delivery objectives.

This is an excellent opportunity for architects who thrive in complex environments and have a proven track record of designing scalable, secure, and user-focused solutions across large organisations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and definition of end-to-end technical solutions across multiple workstreams.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, delivery managers, business analysts, and technical leads to understand requirements and translate them into architecture designs.
• Produce and maintain solution architecture artefacts, including:
  • High-Level Designs (HLDs)
  • Low-Level Designs (LLDs)
  • Integration diagrams
  • Data flows
  • Security and infrastructure designs
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, standards, and technology roadmaps.
• Evaluate technology options and provide recommendations based on business needs.
• Work closely with engineering teams throughout delivery to ensure architectural integrity.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for optimisation.
• Support governance processes, architecture review boards, and technical assurance activities.
• Champion best practices across cloud, security, integration, data, and application architecture.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience working as a Solution Architect within large-scale digital transformation programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience defining architecture solutions across complex, multi-system environments.
• Knowledge of:
  • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • API and integration architecture
  • Microservices architecture
  • Enterprise applications and modern digital platforms
  • Security and identity management principles
• Experience producing architecture documentation and presenting solutions at governance forums.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle methodologies (Agile, Scrum, SAFe).
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical delivery considerations.

Desirable Experience

• Public Sector, Government, Healthcare, Financial Services, or regulated industry experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud-native architectures.
• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and containerisation technologies.
• Knowledge of data architecture and modern analytics platforms.
• TOGAF, BCS, Azure, AWS, or equivalent architecture certifications.
