We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead / Architect to join on an initial 3-month contract, working predominantly remotely with occasional on-site attendance as required. This is an Outside IR35 engagement offering a day rate of £550.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Architecture & Development

• Demonstrable expertise in C#/.NET with the ability to design scalable, maintainable backend solutions.
• Design and define API contracts, domain models, error handling frameworks, and webhook integration flows.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure architectural best practices are followed throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Experience with payments platforms or payment terminal integrations is highly desirable.

Technical Leadership

• Act as the Technical Lead for the project, providing architectural guidance and technical oversight.
• Take on Scrum Master responsibilities, facilitating Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Own delivery sequencing, identify and remove blockers, and help ensure successful sprint execution.
• Coordinate effectively with internal Platform Engineering and Product teams, as well as external technology vendors and integration partners.

Documentation & Solution Design

• Produce clear, high-quality technical documentation including:
• API specifications
• Sequence diagrams
• Error code frameworks
• Integration guides
• Ensure documentation is maintained throughout the project to support development, testing, and future handover.

• Day Rate: £550 per day
