Compliance & Privacy Analyst – Contract Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced Compliance & Privacy Analyst to join a highly regulated organisation operating within a complex and security-conscious environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional who is passionate about data governance, privacy, and regulatory compliance.

The Role

You will support the development and maintenance of compliance and privacy frameworks, ensuring personal and sensitive information is handled in accordance with legal, regulatory, and business requirements. Working closely with audit, legal, risk, monitoring, and data governance teams, you will strengthen controls, manage risk, and promote a culture of compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review and maintain compliance and privacy policies, standards and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance and privacy adherence across the organisation.
  • Support internal and external audits and manage remediation activities.
  • Collaborate with legal, risk, monitoring and data governance teams.
  • Provide guidance on compliant data use within projects and initiatives.
  • Promote privacy-by-design principles.
  • Support compliance and privacy training and awareness programmes.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within a regulated environment in compliance, privacy, risk or data governance.
  • Strong understanding of GDPR, data governance and privacy principles.
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational controls.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as COBIT.
  • Experience working with legal, data protection or risk teams.
  • Knowledge of compliance tooling and privacy technology solutions.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Management or related discipline.
