Contract: Network Security Engineer - 3 months - Outside of IR35

Role Overview

In this role, you will support the design, implementation, and operational management of Fortinet network security solutions across a secure enterprise environment. Working closely with network and security teams, you will help maintain resilient, high-performing infrastructure while supporting project delivery and ongoing operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, support, and optimise Fortinet network security solutions.
• Implement Firewall policies, VPNs, NAT, routing, and security controls.
• Troubleshoot complex network and security issues across enterprise environments.
• Support network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure changes.
• Ensure solutions align with security standards and operational best practices.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and implementation guides.
• Work closely with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams throughout project delivery.

Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies, including FortiGate.
• Good understanding of routing, switching, TCP/IP, VPNs, and enterprise networking.
• Experience configuring and supporting FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer is desirable.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across network and security infrastructure.
• Experience working within secure or highly regulated environments.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Clearance: Active NPPV Level 3 (NPPV3) required
