AWS Security Architect - Remote/London | 6-Month Contract | £600-£700 per day | Outside IR35

I'm partnered with a leading UK client looking for an experienced AWS Security Platform Engineer to design, build and enhance secure AWS environments within a highly regulated Financial Services setting.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong implementation experience across AWS security services, Infrastructure as Code, governance and cloud security best practices.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Hands-on AWS security engineering and implementation
• Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• AWS Control Tower, Config, CloudTrail, IAM, KMS and Secrets Manager
• AWS Landing Zones, guardrails and security governance
• Threat detection, network security and cloud security controls
• AWS identity design including least privilege, SCPs, permission boundaries and cross-account access
• Strong understanding of encryption, data sovereignty and secure data handling
• Experience delivering security solutions in Financial Services or other regulated environments
• Ability to advise stakeholders on AWS Well-Architected Framework and security best practices

Certifications:

• AWS Certified Security - Specialty preferred
• CISSP or similar security certifications beneficial
