We're currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Data Solutions Architect to join a large-scale enterprise organisation undergoing significant investment in its data and cloud technology landscape.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping enterprise data architecture, designing scalable cloud-based solutions and influencing technology strategy across complex, business-critical platforms.
We're looking for someone with a strong background in modern data architecture who is comfortable working across multiple stakeholders, driving architectural standards and delivering pragmatic, high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end data solutions aligned to enterprise architecture and business strategy.
- Define solution architecture across complex data platforms and integrations.
- Develop scalable, secure and high-performing cloud-based data architectures.
- Produce high and low-level solution designs and architectural roadmaps.
- Work closely with Engineering, Product, Delivery and Business teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Champion architecture governance, standards and best practice.
- Influence technology decisions and provide technical leadership across multiple programmes.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working as a Senior Data Solutions Architect within large, complex organisations.
- Strong background designing enterprise-scale data platforms and architectures.
- Experience delivering cloud-based data solutions (AWS preferred).
- Excellent knowledge of data lakes, data warehouses and modern data platform architecture.
- Experience with data modelling, integration and migration.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience working across modern Agile delivery environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable Experience
Experience with one or more of the following would be advantageous:
- AWS technologies including S3, Glue, EMR, RDS and Kafka.
- Lakehouse technologies such as Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake.
- Data integration tools such as Fivetran or CDC technologies.
- Teradata or other enterprise data warehouse platforms.
- Knowledge of Customer Data Platforms, CRM or marketing technology environments (beneficial but not essential).
The role will require you to be onsite 2 days a week in Liverpool
