Microsoft Purview / Data Labelling Solution Architect x 2 Roles

Contract | Initial 6 Months - Outside IR35 | Remote (UK) | £500 per day


We are supporting a global technology consultancy on behalf of a major international consumer products organisation undergoing a significant enterprise-wide Microsoft 365 security and data governance transformation.

As part of a wider information protection programme, we are looking for an experienced Microsoft Purview / Data Labelling Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) and Microsoft Purview capabilities across the organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity to shape enterprise data governance, security and compliance strategy within a complex, highly regulated global environment.

The Role

Working closely with Security, Compliance, Legal and business stakeholders, you will take ownership of the architecture and implementation of Microsoft Purview, helping define how sensitive information is identified, classified, protected and governed across Microsoft 365.

You will be responsible for designing scalable data classification and labelling strategies while providing technical leadership throughout the implementation and adoption of Microsoft Purview.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and implementation of Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) and Sensitivity Labelling across Microsoft 365.
  • Design enterprise-wide data classification frameworks, labelling taxonomies and governance models.
  • Implement Microsoft Purview capabilities including:
  • Information Protection
  • Sensitivity Labels
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
  • Data Discovery
  • Data Classification
  • Compliance Management
  • Assess existing data landscapes and develop strategic roadmaps for Purview adoption.
  • Work closely with Security, Compliance, Legal and business stakeholders to identify sensitive information and define appropriate protection controls.
  • Provide architectural leadership and best practice guidance throughout the migration from existing data labelling solutions to Microsoft Purview.
  • Ensure solutions align with regulatory, compliance and corporate security requirements.


Required Experience

  • Proven experience designing and delivering Microsoft Purview solutions within large enterprise environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Microsoft Purview
  • Microsoft Information Protection (MIP)
  • Microsoft 365 Security
  • Sensitivity Labels
  • Auto Labelling
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
  • Experience designing enterprise data governance and information protection strategies.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working within complex transformation programmes.


Desirable

  • Experience within regulated or global organisations.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Compliance Centre and broader Microsoft Security ecosystem.
  • Microsoft Security or Purview certifications.
