Product Management Consultant (outside IR35) at Siena Partnership, London Area, £Contract Rate

Contract Description

This is a great chance to join a private equity-backed financial services organisation undertaking one of the most significant technology transformations in its history.

Having recently been acquired, the business is investing heavily in the re-platforming of its core operating platform and is moving to a modern, product-led delivery model. They are looking for an experienced Product Management Consultant to help establish the product operating model, coach business stakeholders, and embed product ownership across the organisation.

This is a business transformation role as much as a technology role.

The Opportunity

You'll work directly with the CTO, COO and senior business leaders to transform how technology decisions are made.

Rather than managing a feature backlog, you'll build the capability that enables the business to own its products, prioritise delivery based on business value, and work effectively with Agile engineering teams.

You'll be responsible for creating a sustainable product management function that remains long after your engagement has finished.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Build and embed a Product Operating Model across the organisation
  • Coach Product Owners and business stakeholders in modern product management practices
  • Translate business capabilities into prioritised product backlogs and work packages
  • Introduce value stream-led ways of working across business and technology teams
  • Facilitate backlog prioritisation, sprint planning and product governance
  • Ensure technology delivery is aligned to measurable business outcomes
  • Work alongside Architecture and Delivery teams to shape future platform capabilities
  • Assess current Product Owner and Business Analyst capability and recommend future organisational design

I need a consultant who has significant experience as a Product Manager, Head of Product or Product Consultant and Built or transformed Product Management capability within complex organisations.

  • Led product operating model or Agile transformation initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing C-suite executives
  • Experience working within Financial Services, FinTech or another regulated environment
  • A strong understanding of Agile delivery, value streams and product-led organisations
  • Highly Desirable
  • Experience within FS / capital markets
  • Experience introducing AI-enabled products or digital capabilities
  • Knowledge of business capability modelling or value stream mapping

Why This Role?

This is a rare opportunity to shape how an organisation delivers technology at an enterprise level.

You'll influence executive decision-making, define the product operating model, and leave behind a lasting capability that will underpin a major business transformation.

If you've successfully built product capability—not just managed products—and enjoy coaching organisations through change I'd love to hear from you.
