Marketing Project / Delivery Manager
Location: Hybrid (average 2 days per week on-site across Manchester, Bolton and London, with flexibility to work from home)
Contract: 6-month contract | Outside IR35
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Delivery Manager to join a growing professional services organisation, supporting a portfolio of strategic marketing and sales transformation initiatives.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and in line with agreed governance standards.
Projects will include areas such as:
- Marketing transformation programmes
- Marketing technology (MarTech) implementation and enhancement
- Digital channel initiatives
- Sales and CRM-related projects, including operational improvements across telesales and business development functions
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously through the full project lifecycle.
- Define project scope, plans, timelines, deliverables, dependencies and risks.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver key milestones.
- Monitor progress and proactively manage risks, issues and dependencies.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops and steering committees.
- Produce and maintain project documentation including plans, RAID logs, action trackers and status reports.
- Support governance activities, change control and impact assessments.
- Maintain project roadmaps and provide clear, accurate reporting on delivery performance.
- Analyse project data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across business, operational and delivery teams.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Develop stakeholder engagement and communication plans to ensure successful project delivery.
- Champion collaboration and continuous improvement across the project portfolio.
Skills & Experience
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience delivering end-to-end marketing and sales transformation projects.
- Strong project planning, organisation and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working within matrix organisations.
- Confidence working with delivery metrics and project reporting.
- Knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Experience with governance, risk management and project controls.
- Exposure to resource planning and/or financial tracking would be beneficial.
- A recognised Project Management qualification (PRINCE2, APM, PMI or equivalent) is desirable.
- Understanding of organisational change management.
- Previous experience within B2B, professional services and/or private equity-backed organisations would be advantageous.
