Contract Embedded Android Developer at Circuit32 Recruitment, Cheltenham, £500 per day

I'm working with a business in Cheltenham who are looking to recruit an Embedded Android Developer on a contract basis for a specific project (Outside IR35).

The work involves developing the Android SDK for video/media streaming application built on custom hardware (based on i.MX8 hardware).

Skills required:

• Expertise with Embedded Android (AOSP) for non-phone hardware
• Video / media streaming experience (Gstreamer, ExoPlayer, MediaCodec etc)
• Ability to complete greenfield work with minimal supervision
• Choosing evaluating hardware and tools for the platform

The work is largely remote, with occasional travel to Gloucestershire & Hamsphire for hardware testing.

Beneficial skills:

• ATAK-CIV, iTAK, winTAK knowledge
• SC clearance (not essential)

DURATION: 6 months (extension likely)

HOURS: 40 per week

START: ASAP

IR35: Outside

RATE: Up to £500pd
