Business Analyst at Anson McCade, United Kingdom, £530 per day

6 month Contract - Outside IR35 - £530 P/D

We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a Public Sector digital programme.

The right person will have a strong track record on GDS-aligned digital services, with particular depth in mobilising new projects and driving the analysis that takes a team through Discovery into a successful Alpha.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience leading business analysis on Public Sector digital engagements — process mapping, requirements elicitation, and turning ambiguity into structured, actionable insight

• Deep familiarity with the GDS Service Standard and the Discovery > Alpha > Beta > Live lifecycle - you know what analysis each phase demands

• Strong skills in mapping as-is and to-be journeys, identifying pain points, and shaping the evidence base that justifies prioritisation decisions

• Confidence facilitating workshops and engaging policy, operational and technical stakeholders to build a shared understanding

• A practical approach to using AI tools to accelerate analysis - synthesising research, drafting process documentation, gap analysis, and requirements capture

• An innovation mindset - looking for smarter, leaner ways to surface and validate user and business needs

Essential background:

• Central Government or wider Public Sector BA experience (Central Government preferred)

• Business analysis at pace in multi-disciplinary agile teams (product, design, research, engineering)

• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and creating structure, clarity and traceability where none exists

• Familiarity with GDS assessment processes and the analytical evidence assessors .
