Senior AWS Platform / DevOps Engineer (1x per week NE England irregular - outside IR35) at TrueNorth®, United Kingdom, £550-£600 per day

Location: Remote with 1x per week max to Stockton on Tees (wont be every week)

Rate: £550-600 per day outside IR35

Length: 12 month contract

I’m working on a new contract opportunity for a Senior Platform Engineer to take ownership of a modern AWS platform environment.

This is a hands-on, self-directed role where you’ll be responsible for designing, building and optimising cloud/platform infrastructure, including finops / aws cost optimisation.

Key experience needed:

• Extensive AWS experience
• FinOps / cloud cost optimisation
• Kubernetes – cluster lifecycle, RBAC, networking and storage
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• GitOps – ideally ArgoCD
• GitHub Actions / CI/CD
• Some AWS architecture experience would be beneficial but not essential

The role will suit someone who is comfortable operating with ownership, identifying problems, defining solutions and delivering end-to-end without heavy management.

Location: Remote-first, with some visits to Stockton-on-Tees (1 day per week but only as required, not regularly)

This would be a good fit for a senior AWS/Kubernetes platform engineer who enjoys ownership, technical breadth and improving how platform infrastructure is delivered.
