Glaicier is a UK Microsoft consultancy. We help organisations move, adopt, secure and get real value from Microsoft 365 and Azure, and we have built our own platform, Novalysis, to crack the data-governance and permissions problems that quietly derail big migrations. Our clients include NHS trusts, ambulance services and public-sector bodies, so the work matters: untangling complex estates, protecting sensitive data and giving people technology that actually works. About the role

We are building intelligent, cloud-native applications for the public sector and beyond, and we are looking for an engineer who can own a feature end to end: from the React component a user clicks, through the Azure services behind it, to the infrastructure that ships and runs it.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is as comfortable wiring up an agentic workflow in LangGraph as they are tuning a Tailwind layout or writing the Bicep that stands up the environment. You will work directly alongside our senior engineering team at the same level, sharing ownership of architecture decisions, code quality, and delivery.

What you will be doing

• Designing and building full-stack applications using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, with component libraries such as Radix and shadcn/ui
• Architecting and building back-end services on Azure, including Functions, Azure SQL, and secure virtual networking
• Building AI-powered features and agentic workflows using Azure OpenAI and LangGraph
• Implementing secure, identity-first solutions using Entra ID and Azure Managed Identity
• Defining and maintaining infrastructure as code with Bicep
• Owning CI/CD pipelines and source control through GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps
• Contributing to architecture and technical direction as a peer to our senior engineers

What we are looking for

Essential skills and experience:

• Front end: Strong React and TypeScript, with hands-on experience of Radix and/or shadcn/ui and Tailwind CSS
• Back end and data: Azure SQL and solid back-end engineering
• Azure architecture: Functions, virtual networking, Azure OpenAI, and Entra ID with Azure Managed Identity
• AI engineering: Practical experience building with LangGraph or comparable agent orchestration frameworks
• DevOps and tooling: GitHub, GitHub Actions, Git, and Azure DevOps
• Infrastructure as code: Bicep

We are looking for someone senior enough to work independently, make sound architectural calls, and raise the bar for everyone around them

Nice to have

• Experience delivering into regulated or public sector environments
• Familiarity with the wider Microsoft cloud and security stack
• A track record of taking AI features from prototype to production

• Iterates towards outcomes and engages with ownership, rather than working to rigid scope
• Sits between two extremes: neither dismissive of modern tooling nor over-reliant on it without understanding

Early success looks like

• The platform's key areas are documented and understood beyond the founder
• You are shipping features independently and to a sound standard
• Day-to-day reliance on the founder for platform work has measurably reduced

We are listing this as a contract, outside IR35-friendly role, envisaging 1-2 days per week max at the moment but with a serious eye towards contract-to-perm potential if the fit is

right.Circa 550 per day
