Overview

We're looking for an experienced Network Engineer / Network Designer to join a major enterprise transformation programme delivering large-scale network and security projects across a complex hybrid infrastructure. This is a project-focused role with no BAU or operational support responsibilities. You'll play a key role in designing, implementing and documenting network changes across cloud and on-premise environments, working with a broad range of modern networking, security and automation technologies. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile programme focused on network modernisation, cloud adoption and secure enterprise connectivity.

Role & Responsibilities

• Produce High and Low Level Designs (HLDs/LLDs), network diagrams and technical documentation.
• Design and implement enterprise network solutions across hybrid cloud and on-premise environments.
• Deliver configuration changes across Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto and Juniper technologies.
• Implement routing, segmentation, cloud connectivity and secure access solutions.
• Deploy Azure networking components including VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway and ExpressRoute.
• Configure firewall policies, IPSec VPNs and Zero Trust access solutions.
• Contribute to Cisco ACI and Juniper Mist network deployments.
• Configure and support F5 LTM for application delivery and traffic management.
• Produce implementation plans, migration runbooks, testing documentation and technical handover artefacts.
• Support large-scale network transformation, cloud migration and infrastructure modernisation programmes.
• Use Python, Terraform and GitHub to automate network configuration and deployment where appropriate.
• Ensure all technical documentation is accurate, consistent and maintained to enterprise standards.

Skills & Experience

• Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise network solutions.
• Excellent knowledge of routing and switching technologies including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, NAT, QoS and IPSec VPN.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI and policy-driven networking.
• Experience with Juniper Mist wireless and access networking.
• Strong firewall experience across Fortinet FortiGate, Palo Alto Networks and/or Juniper SRX.
• Experience implementing Zero Trust solutions using Zscaler ZIA and/or ZPA.
• Strong Azure networking experience, including hybrid cloud connectivity and cloud security.
• Experience with F5 LTM is highly desirable.
• Automation experience using Python, Terraform, GitHub and/or Ansible would be advantageous.
• Previous experience delivering enterprise network transformation or migration programmes.
• Excellent technical documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
