Business Architect - 6 months - Remote - Outside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Business Architect to support the delivery of key transformation initiatives across OSS/BSS platforms within a rapidly scaling telecoms environment. This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, driving alignment across business processes, workflows, systems, and integrations to support the target operating model.

Working closely with Product, Engineering, Solution Architecture, and strategic technology partners, you will shape the functional business architecture, ensuring business requirements are translated into scalable, best-practice solutions across the target ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the business architecture across OSS/BSS transformation programmes, aligning business capabilities, processes, workflows, and technology.
• Lead business discovery workshops to elicit, analyse, and document functional business requirements.
• Design and optimise end-to-end business processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for standardisation, automation, and operational improvement.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product teams, Engineering, and third-party vendors to ensure solutions reflect platform best practices and business objectives.
• Work closely with vendors, including Salesforce and MuleSoft partners, to understand product capabilities and incorporate industry best practices into business design.
• Analyse business processes, integrations, APIs, and data flows across the target technology ecosystem.
• Produce high-quality business architecture artefacts, including business process models, workflow designs, functional specifications, and operating model documentation.
• Support delivery through business validation, defining Happy Path scenarios, reviewing functional test cases, and facilitating stakeholder sign-off.

Required Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Architect or Functional Consultant, within complex transformation programmes.
• Strong OSS/BSS experience within telecommunications or ISP environments.
• Experience working across Salesforce (SFDC), MuleSoft, and integrations with off-the-shelf applications.
• Strong expertise in workflow design, business process modelling, and functional solution design.
• Experience working with software vendors and implementation partners to drive best-practice business outcomes.
• Strong understanding of integrations, APIs, and cross-platform data flows.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, and communication skills.
• Comfortable supporting testing activities through business scenario definition and Happy Path validation.

Desirable Skills

• Exposure to Kafka, Salesforce Apex, Azure DevOps, or Copado.
• Experience supporting digital transformation programmes.
• Understanding of UK telecoms regulatory frameworks
• SQL or data analysis capabilities.
• Knowledge of GDPR and data governance.

• Day Rate: £400 Per Day - £500 Per Day (Outside IR35)
