Position: Tech Lead
Location: London / Remote
Daily Rate: £650 to £700 outside IR35
Clearance: UKSV SC Clearance Required

We're working with a central government client at the forefront of innovation, delivering cutting-edge digital, data, and AI solutions that make a real public impact.

This is a unique opportunity for a Tech Lead to shape and scale emerging technologies - from early Proof of Concept through to production - within a fast-paced, high-trust environment.

You'll lead end-to-end design across software, data platforms, and AI systems, while providing independent technical assurance to ensure solutions are secure, ethical, and fit for purpose. Working across multidisciplinary teams, you'll drive innovation in areas like DevOps, platform engineering, and MLOps - balancing experimentation with governance and risk.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading architecture, design, and delivery of digital & AI solutions
• Driving innovation across AI, analytics, and emerging tech
• Owning technical, data, and AI assurance across the lifecycle
• Embedding responsible AI and robust data governance
• Advising senior stakeholders and translating complex tech into real-world impact

What we're looking for:

• Strong experience across software engineering, data platforms, and AI/ML
• Proven leadership in DevOps, cloud, and modern engineering practices
• Experience delivering in innovative or regulated environments
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and influence at senior levels
