Azure Developer, C#

Initial 6-Month Contract - Outside IR35

£450 – 500 day rate


A well-known and hugely prestigious global business is hiring a C#, Azure Developer for an 6-month contract engagement with the potential to extend. This role will see you working fully remotely as part of a large-scale Cloud Transformation programme. The engagement sits outside IR35.

You will work within an Architecture Team on the re-platforming and modernisation of legacy API and integration platforms, migrating on-premise infrastructure to Azure cloud. This is a hands-on development role with a strong emphasis on automated testing as well as cloud-native build.


What you'll be doing


  • Developing performant, public-facing REST APIs and system integrations in Azure
  • Documenting APIs to OpenAPI 3.x standards
  • Reviewing legacy implementations and building modern replacements in collaboration with the architecture team
  • Writing and maintaining automated test cases using Reqnroll, integrated into CI/CD pipelines
  • Participating in code reviews, design workshops, and story elaboration
  • Ensuring security, scalability, and performance across all solutions


What you'll need


  • Strong, hands-on C# and .NET Core experience across multiple projects
  • Azure development across Functions, Service Bus, CosmosDB, and Azure SQL
  • RESTful API development and OpenAPI 3.x / Swagger documentation
  • Proven automated testing experience using XUnit and Specflow or Reqnroll
  • Auth0 or equivalent authentication and authorisation experience
  • CI/CD pipeline integration and DevOps practices
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience


Nice to have


  • AWS familiarity
  • Elasticsearch experience
  • Azure certifications
