CTO - North West England - Outside IR35 - circa £7900-£850 per day - 6 months 2 days a week onsite

We are looking for a CTO help drive strategy on a Legacy migration and their cloud strategy

Client and Role Overview

  • The role is a six-month interim CTO position to fill a current gap in their leadership.
  • While the client is flexible, the role is expected to be Full time with a requirement of approximately two days per week on-site.

Technical Strategy and Deliverables

  • The primary focus of the role is de-risking a Legacy migration and driving the initial stages of a newly adopted cloud strategy.
  • They currently uses multiple hyperscalers and intends to converge on a single platform, likely Microsoft/Azure.
  • The role covers all facets such as Data, infrastructure, Microsoft systems, and governance
  • Basically you have a blank sheet of paper in these areas.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive the technology team and key strategic decisions forward
  • Land direction on: data strategy, integration strategy, Azure integration services and IT governance
  • Work closely with the Strategy (Business) and Architecture teams
  • Build trust and credibility quickly across senior stakeholders and the wider tech team

What we're looking for

  • Proven CTO-level experience
  • A genuine generalist - comfortable across data, integration, cloud (Azure), and governance
  • Strong personal gravitas and stakeholder presence
  • Pragmatic, hands-on, comfortable in a part-time advisory capacity that still drives real outcomes
  • Drive the technology team and key strategic decisions forward
  • Land direction on: data strategy, integration strategy, Azure integration services, DNS and IT governance
  • Work closely with the Strategy (Business) and Architecture teams
  • Build trust and credibility quickly across senior stakeholders and the wider tech team
