.NET Developer at 167 Solutions Ltd, Daventry, £Contract Rate

Outside IR35 Remote / Hybrid 6-Month Initial Contract Up to £500 per day

167 Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a leading financial services organisation undergoing a major technology transformation programme.

We are seeking a hands-on Senior .NET Developer with proven pensions industry experience to support the delivery of modern, scalable applications across pension administration, member servicing and digital platforms.

This is a development-focused contract role suited to an experienced engineer who enjoys writing high-quality code, solving complex technical challenges and delivering enterprise-scale solutions.

As a Contract Senior .NET Developer, you will:

• Develop and enhance business-critical pension platforms.
• Build and maintain APIs, services and web applications using modern .NET technologies.
• Deliver new functionality across pension administration and member-facing systems.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners and technical teams.
• Participate in solution design and technical discussions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
• Contribute to cloud migration and platform modernisation initiatives.
• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.

• Strong commercial experience with C#.
• .NET Core / .NET 6+ / .NET 8.
• ASP.NET MVC and Web API development.
• SQL Server.
• Azure cloud services.
• RESTful API development.
• Git version control.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.

Candidates must possess experience in one or more of the following:

• Defined Benefit (DB) Pensions.
• Defined Contribution (DC) Pensions.
• Pension Administration Platforms.
• Pension Calculations.
• Pension Payroll.
• Retirement Solutions.
• Pension Member Portals.

Applications without pensions experience are unlikely to be considered.

• Azure DevOps.
• CI/CD Pipelines.
• Docker.
• Kubernetes.
• Microservices Architecture.
• Event-Driven Architecture.
• Blazor.
• React or Angular.

• Minimum 5 years' commercial .NET development experience.
• Previous experience within pensions, retirement services or financial services.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise applications.
• Ability to work independently within a fast-paced project environment.

• Initial 6-month contract.
• Outside IR35.
• Up to £500 per day.
• Remote / Hybrid working.
• Immediate start available.
• Strong likelihood of extension.
