Data and AI Project Manager at Morson Edge, Manchester, £600 per day

Data & AI Senior Project Manager - £600 per day - Outside IR35 - Hybrid working 3 days a week on site near Manchester Airport - 6 months initial contract.

Were supporting a global organisation undertaking one of the largest digital transformation programmes in its history.

As part of a major investment in Data, Analytics, Automation and AI, were seeking an experienced Data & AI Project Manager to lead the delivery of key initiatives across a complex international environment.

This is a highly visible role with global reach, working across business and technology teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and aligned to strategic objectives. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, technical specialists and third-party partners to drive successful outcomes across a portfolio of data and AI projects.

Key Responsibilities -

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of data, analytics, automation and AI projects across global business and technology teams.
• Create and manage project plans, roadmaps, milestones, budgets and governance frameworks.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on priorities, dependencies, risks and delivery outcomes.
• Work with stakeholders to shape and prioritise use cases based on business value, feasibility and strategic impact.
• Drive programme governance, reporting, risk management, issue resolution and change control activities.
• Ensure successful adoption of delivered solutions by considering people, process, technology, data quality, governance and privacy requirements.
• Manage relationships with third-party partners, vendors and delivery teams.
• Provide clear communication and executive-level reporting to senior sponsors and leadership teams.

What Were Looking For -

• Significant experience in project management, programme delivery or transformation roles.
• Proven experience delivering data, analytics, reporting, automation or AI-related initiatives.
• Strong understanding of Agile, PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent project delivery methodologies.
• Experience operating within complex, matrixed organisations and managing multiple stakeholder groups.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language.
• Strong planning, organisation and stakeholder management capabilities.
• A proactive, delivery-focused approach with the ability to work independently and maintain momentum in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience within FMCG, retail, consumer goods or similarly fast-paced sectors would be highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, privacy, AI governance or model life cycle management would be beneficial.
