Contract: EUC Engineer

Contract for an experienced EUC Engineer to work on a large enterprise client project responsible for VDI activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and configure Omnissa Horizon desktop pools, master images and App Volumes packages.
- Build and configure Igel thin clients, including repurposing existing HP laptops.
- Support pilot deployment waves hands-on, including user readiness and issue resolution.
- Execute integration tests; document deviations and remediation actions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years EUC engineering with hands-on experience in Omnissa Horizon.
- Working knowledge of Igel installation and configuration.
- Demonstrable delivery experience in a regulated industry, including familiarity with change control, audit and compliance constraints.
- Experience working in a large, geographically distributed global organisation across multiple time zones and cultural contexts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to engage with senior stakeholders and translate technical detail for non-technical audiences.
Technical Skills
- VDI: Omnissa Horizon (Blast Protocol, App Volumes) as default end-user platform.
- Enterprise Browser: Island.io.
- Endpoint management: Microsoft Intune (compliance policies, configuration settings, managed apps).
- Identity: Microsoft EntraID, Active Directory, Identity Federation, Conditional Access for M365.
- Apple stack: Apple Business Manager, Managed Apple ID, Automated Device Enrolment (ADE) into Intune, iPad (COD), iPhone (BYO).
- Thin-client strategy: Igel OS on repurposed HP hardware, dedicated thin-client standards.
- Cloud: Microsoft Azure as the control plane.
