AWS Cloud Operations Engineer

£350 per day | Outside IR35 | London (up to 3 days per week)

We're supporting a leading organisation in securing an experienced AWS Cloud Operations Engineer to join their infrastructure team on a contract basis. This is a hands-on operational role focused on maintaining the availability, security, resilience, and performance of critical AWS-hosted environments.

You'll take ownership of day-to-day cloud operations across production and non-production environments, supporting AWS services including EC2, ECS, ALBs, VPCs, and networking components. Working closely with development, security, and infrastructure teams, you'll manage incidents, support deployments, optimise monitoring, and drive operational improvements.

Key responsibilities include infrastructure support, incident response, change and release management, monitoring and observability, vulnerability remediation, disaster recovery testing, and operational support of Microsoft SQL Server environments.

To be considered, you'll have strong experience managing AWS production environments, alongside solid Windows Server administration skills and a good understanding of networking principles. Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and monitoring tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, or AWS X-Ray is essential.
