Outside IR35 Data Architect required for a major UK transformation programme in a regulated insurance environment.

Large-scale data modernisation and transformation programme, replacing a significant Legacy estate by moving multiple systems out of a central platform into a new target architecture. The landscape includes strong engineering capability across microservices, cloud, AI, and data-driven services, alongside complex Legacy migration.

This is a hands-on delivery role, shaping real data flows, integrations, and migration patterns. No strategy or governance focus purely build and deliver.

What you'll be doing;

• Design end-to-end data flows across multiple systems
• Translate requirements into data architecture and mapping solutions
• Support integration, migration, and system consolidation activity
• Define data pipelines and data movement (inbound/outbound)
• Work within microservices-based architectures
• Collaborate closely with BAs, Engineers, and Delivery teams

What You'll Need

• Strong hands-on Data Architecture experience in delivery environments
• ETL/ELT and data streaming (Kafka) experience
• Strong understanding of microservices (essential)
• Experience in system integration and migration programmes
• AWS experience (GCP beneficial)
• Strong data mapping and data flow design skills
• Understanding of UK GDPR/regulated environments
