Application Support Engineer

EQD Application Support – Trading Systems (Fintech)

£400 per day | Outside IR35 | 6‑month contract | London (Hybrid)

A global electronic trading firm is strengthening its front‑line EQD production support capability. This role exists to protect revenue‑critical systems used directly by trading desks.

This is a high‑impact support role where you will:

• Own production support for EQD trading applications
• Act as an escalation point for live incidents and system issues
• Perform system health checks, monitoring and change management
• Work directly with traders, developers and infrastructure teams

What we’re looking for:

• 3–5+ years in trading or fintech application support
• Strong Linux and command‑line skills
• Python and/or Bash scripting experience
• Solid SQL for investigation and troubleshooting
• Experience supporting production systems under pressure
