Senior Integration Engineer

Team: Data & Integration Platform (DIP)

Focus: Hands-on integration delivery utilizing an AI-assisted development factory model to connect 40+ systems across a fund administration estate.

The DIP team operates a highly structured, repeatable delivery engine ("Integration Factory") for building, testing, and deploying integration adapters at pace. We are seeking a self-starting engineer to take direct ownership of integration delivery, combining deep Azure expertise with an embedded, AI-assisted development practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integration Factory & AI Delivery: Build reusable system wrappers (Python) to encapsulate auth and API interactions. Use AI tools (LLMs, Claude) as your default mode to scaffold Function Apps, generate Logic Apps workflows, author APIM policies, and automate testing/documentation.

  • Azure Integration Engineering: Design and build integration adapters using Python-based Azure Function Apps. Develop Logic Apps Standard workflows (WDL), configure Azure APIM policies, utilize Azure Service Bus for async messaging, and manage IaC via Bicep.

  • End-to-End Delivery: Take workstreams from requirement to production independently. Write clean Python code with pytest suites and collaborate closely with the DIP Architect, Data Engineering Lead, BAs, and QA.

Candidate Profile

Essential

  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on integration engineering experience.

  • Azure Core: Deep practical experience with Azure Function Apps, Logic Apps Standard, Service Bus, and APIM.

  • Python & QA: Strong Python skills with clean code practices, error handling, and robust test coverage.

  • AI Tooling: Active, day-to-day use of AI-assisted development (code generation, IaC templating, documentation) embedded in your workflow.

  • Autonomy: Ability to own workstreams and drive delivery with minimal oversight.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience building reusable system wrapper libraries.

  • Snowflake experience (querying, schema patterns) or SnowPro certification.

  • Exposure to fund administration or financial services.

  • Canonical / domain data modeling experience.

What Won't Work

  • Strategic architects focused only on roadmaps and documentation.

  • Pure Data Engineers (ADF, Databricks, Medallion architecture).

  • Anyone requiring significant ramp-up time or close management.

Technical Environment

  • Stack: Azure Functions (Python), Logic Apps Standard, Service Bus, APIM, Snowflake, Azure DevOps.

  • Methodology: Fast-paced Agile sprints, PR-based code reviews, and automated QA gates.
