Technical Product Manager - Institutional Digital Assets - 6m Contract Outside IR35 at Tempest Vane Partners, Greater London, £Contract Rate

The Client

My client is an institutionally backed Fintech business specialising in building cutting edge trading solutions for Cryptocurrency & Digital Assets. Their flagship was the first regulated custody solution for institutional crypto trading and following their series B funding round they are now looking at significant diversification of their commercial offering, with a particular focus on Tokenisation and Staking.

As such they are growing their Product Management team and are looking for an experienced individual with a strong background in software engineering and financial markets and an interest in digital asset trading and blockchain technology.

Please note that this role is initially a 6 month day-rate contract, outside IR35, however could be extended to 12 months or go permanent at some point in the future.

What You'll Do

The business has an aggressive growth strategy spanning client acquisition, geographic and service expansion. As a Product Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of their product offerings. You will work closely with engineering, compliance, and operations teams to develop and deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet the stringent regulatory requirements and evolving needs of their clients. Your technical expertise and strategic vision will be essential in driving product innovation and ensuring the highest levels of security, compliance, and performance. Prioritisation and alignment with the rest of the business is key, whilst retaining the flexibility to react to market drivers. Key area of responsibility will include:

• Executing the product strategy and roadmap.
• Providing technical leadership, liaising between engineering and other departments.
• Leading the product development process from ideation through launch, and managing project delivery.
• Providing stakeholder management working closely with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to gather requirements and feedback.
• Provide customer focus and insights in order to drive product innovation and improvement.
• Providing leadership and guidance to junior team members.

What You'll Need

• 10+ years of experience in financial markets, with 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager.
• Experience building technology solutions for institutional digital assets or financial markets businesses.
• Interest and understanding of blockchain technology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrable ability to adapt to continual change, strong problem-solving skills with a constructive and proactive mindset, resilience and curiosity.
• Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and ability to multitask.
