Overview

We are supporting a private equity-backed buy-and-build platform executing a roll-up strategy across the environmental, agrifood, and infrastructure laboratory testing sector in Italy.

With multiple acquisitions currently in exclusivity, the project is entering a critical execution phase involving confirmatory due diligence, financing processes, and phased transaction completion throughout Q3. This is an opportunity to join a highly active deal environment and work directly alongside an experienced management team and investors on a complex cross-border consolidation strategy.

The role will support both transaction execution and broader commercial planning initiatives, with significant exposure to investment decision-making and operational strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain integrated financial and operational models across multiple acquisition targets
  • Support management with operational due diligence, commercial analysis, and business planning activities
  • Prepare investment committee materials and transaction documentation for investors and lenders
  • Assist with acquisition execution across a phased buy-and-build process
  • Work closely with management teams, advisors, and investors throughout the deal lifecycle
  • Coordinate information gathering and analysis across multiple founder-led businesses
  • Support financing workstreams and investor reporting requirements
  • Identify operational risks, synergies, and value creation opportunities across the platform

Key Requirements

  • Strong background in investment banking, transaction services, or private equity,
  • Advanced financial modelling and analytical capability, ideally within M&A or buy-and-build environments
  • Experience supporting operational due diligence and strategic business planning processes
  • Ability to operate effectively within fast-paced, entrepreneurial transaction environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across investors, management teams, and advisors
  • Experience drafting investment committee materials and transaction presentations
  • Prior exposure to cross-border transactions and founder-led businesses is advantageous
  • Italian language skills are beneficial but not essential
  • Experience within private equity-backed environments highly desirable
