Telecoms Cloud Architect

Circa £550 per day outside IR35

London/Reading - 1-2 days per week on site

We are seeking a Telco Cloud Infrastructure Architect to deliver HLD/LLD designs for large-scale telecom transformation programmes spanning 5G Core, IMS, and cloud-native infrastructure .

Key Responsibilities

• Design vendor-neutral HLD/LLD architectures for Telco Cloud platforms
• Support migration from VMware to Red Hat/Wind River/cloud-native environments
• Define resilience, HA/DR, capacity and scaling models
• Deliver security-by-design (TSA-compliant) architectures
• Design IP network fabrics (Cisco/Arista) and infrastructure services (DNS, NTP, FW, LB, AAA)
• Support 5G Core, IMS, UDB, DAB and Load Balancing programmes
• Drive automation-first/GitOps operating models
• Support first-site builds and transition into BAU operations

Required Experience

• Strong background in Telco Cloud/Network Architecture
• Proven delivery of HLD/LLD in large telecom environments
• Experience with 5G Core, IMS, NFV or cloud-native telecom systems
• Knowledge of OpenShift/Kubernetes/virtualization platforms
• Strong IP networking (Cisco/Arista) and infrastructure design skills
• Experience in HA/DR, capacity planning and security architecture

Desirable

• ETSI NFV/MANO, Open RAN exposure
• Automation/CI-CD/GitOps experience
• Spirent or telecom testing frameworks
• VMware ? cloud-native migration programmes
