ML Engineer Contractor - AI-Driven Automation

Our client, a global digital E-commerce company is looking for an experienced ML Engineer contractor to help build a fully automated pricing platform across various international locations.

This is an AI-first role. They are looking for someone who thinks beyond traditional ML pipelines and brings strong experience in intelligent automation, AI agents, orchestration, and production-grade decision systems.

You'll work closely with the Data Science, Engineering, and Analytics teams to design and deliver automated workflows that move model recommendations into production systems safely, reliably, and at scale.

What You'll Do

• Design and build automated ML pipelines and orchestration workflows
• Implement AI agent and LLM-powered automation capabilities
• Deliver pricing outputs into AWS S3 for downstream system integration
• Support phased rollout from manual approvals to full automation
• Partner with senior stakeholders, Ccntribute towards a wider AI transformation and ways of working
• Collaborate closely with their Lead ML Engineer and wider data team

Required experience

• Strong experience building production ML automation systems
• Proven AI-first mindset with experience applying AI-native approaches
• Expertise in Python, AWS, CI/CD, orchestration, and MLOps
• Experience building AI agents, LLM workflows, or intelligent automation
• Experience designing monitoring, guardrails, and auditability for automated systems
• Comfortable working in established engineering teams and influencing technical direction

Contract role | Remote first, Occasional London office visits (circa twice per month).
