The Opportunity

SR2 is supporting a major transformation programme within a policing environment and is looking for an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex technology and transformation initiatives.

This role sits within a high-profile programme focused on modernising technology capabilities, operating models and digital delivery across a secure, operationally critical environment. You'll be responsible for driving end-to-end delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and aligned to wider organisational objectives.

We're particularly interested in candidates with experience delivering large-scale IT or digital transformation projects within policing, government or other highly regulated environments.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading complex IT and transformation projects from initiation through to delivery
  • Developing and managing project plans, governance structures, RAID logs and reporting
  • Translating strategic objectives into clear delivery roadmaps and actionable plans
  • Managing stakeholders across technology, operations and senior leadership teams
  • Driving delivery across multiple workstreams within a fast-paced transformation environment
  • Ensuring risks, dependencies and issues are proactively identified and managed
  • Supporting business change and adoption activity to ensure successful implementation
  • Working closely with technical teams, business analysts and operational stakeholders to deliver practical, scalable solutions

What You'll Bring to the Team

  • Proven experience delivering complex IT or digital transformation projects at scale
  • Strong project governance, planning and delivery management capability
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience managing delivery within complex, regulated or high-assurance environments
  • Ability to operate effectively across both technical and business teams
  • Comfortable working in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities
  • Strong understanding of delivery methodologies and transformation best practice

Highly Desirable

  • Experience within policing, law enforcement, defence or wider public sector environments
  • Exposure to secure or operationally critical technology programmes
  • Experience delivering organisational or technology operating model change

Contract Details

  • 6 month initial contract
  • Outside IR35
  • Hybrid working - 3 days onsite in Central London
  • £500-£600/day depending on experience
  • Active SC Clearance and NPPV2/NPPV3 required
