Urgent Cyber Security Architect/Telco sector Mandatory/Fixed Networks

Location: Hybrid - UK

Duration: 3 months rolling

Outside: IR35

Overview

We are looking for two Cyber Security Architects with strong experience in fixed networks and enterprise IT environments. These roles focus on designing secure architectures across enterprise infrastructure (not mobile networks), ensuring solutions are secure by design and aligned to industry standards.

Responsibilities

Design and implement security architectures for fixed network and enterprise systems (LAN/WAN, data centres, cloud). Embed security standards and frameworks (eg, NIST, ISO 27001) into solutions. Perform threat modelling, risk assessments, and security reviews. Provide architectural governance and guidance across projects. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure secure design and delivery. Recommend and evaluate security technologies (Firewalls, SIEM, Zero Trust).

Skills & Experience

Proven Cyber Security Architect experience in enterprise/fixed network environments. Strong knowledge of: IP Networking (routing, switching, MPLS, SD-WAN) Enterprise infrastructure (cloud, identity, Servers) Security architecture and frameworks Experience with security tools (eg, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM). Strong stakeholder communication skills.

Desirable

Certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCSP, TOGAF) Experience in large enterprise or telecoms environments Knowledge of Zero Trust and cloud security
