Network Security Engineer

Outside IR35 - £450/day

Length: Contract to end of Sept 2026 (likely extension)

Office - Reading (A few times a month)

We’re looking for a Network Security Engineer to join a major security transformation programme reporting into the CISO. This is a hands-on contract role focused on uplifting network security standards across data centres and manufacturing sites.

What you’ll be doing:

• Conduct network security discovery & gap analysis against industry frameworks (NIST, CIS)
• Define and deliver remediation plans across critical environments
• Design & implement ZTNA and secure access improvements
• Lead upgrades, testing, pilot rollouts, and full deployment
• Decommission legacy technologies and transition to BAU

Tech environment:

• Cisco (LAN)
• Palo Alto (Firewalls, Prisma Access)
• HPE Aruba (Wireless)
• SD-WAN, CASB, DLP, ZTNA

We’re looking for:

• Strong Cisco + Palo Alto expertise (must-have)
• Proven experience in network security transformation
• Exposure to manufacturing environments (preferred)
• Ability to work hands-on across design, build, and deployment
