The Opportunity

We are working with a leading wealth management firm to appoint an experienced Technical Delivery Project Manager on an initial 6-month contract, engaged outside IR35. This is a pivotal role at the heart of a strategic data warehousing programme, requiring a technically astute PM with a strong background in data engineering delivery and third-party coordination.

Role Overview

You will take ownership of coordinating end-to-end delivery across multiple concurrent workstreams, focused on data extract, transform, and load processes to support a cloud-based data warehousing initiative. Working closely with an internal data engineering team, an external 3rd party provider, QA, and business SMEs, you will ensure the programme is delivered on time and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate delivery across multiple technical workstreams within a data warehousing programme
  • Manage day-to-day delivery with the in-house data engineering team, test team, business SMEs, and 3rd party provider
  • Track and report on programme milestones, risks, dependencies, and issues
  • Facilitate planning, stand-ups, and governance meetings across all delivery teams
  • Ensure data extract and load processes are delivered to agreed timelines and quality standards
  • Act as the primary coordination point between technical and business stakeholders
  • Proactively identify and resolve blockers to maintain delivery momentum

Required Experience

  • Proven experience as a Technical Delivery PM within complex, multi-stakeholder programmes
  • Strong background in data transfer projects, including data ingestion pipelines and ETL processes
  • Experience coordinating AWS to Azure data migration or transfer projects
  • Proven ability to manage delivery with 3rd party technology providers
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences

Desirable

  • Experience with DataBricks Delta Sharing
  • Background in financial services or wealth management
  • Familiarity with cloud data warehousing platforms (eg Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift)
  • Agile or hybrid delivery methodology experience
