Contract Cloud Engineer - 100% remote - outside IR35 - long-term project

Exalto consulting are currently recruiting for a contract cloud engineer, this is working for a fantastic global organisation, you will be working 100% remote, outside IR35 helping deliver on a very interesting project.

Technology stack for the role:

• AWS platform and infrastructure background supporting migration of data/AI applications
• Notebook-based development environments, including SageMaker or similar tools for coding, testing, and model development
• Docker and container image management, including repositories such as ECR or Artifactory
• CI/CD pipelines for promoting code, models, and endpoint updates across dev and prod
• Git-based development workflows, including source control, branching, and deployment integration
• AWS storage services, especially S3, plus secure connectivity to external storage platforms
• Relational database integration for application logs, user history, audit data, and structured metadata
• API-based application architecture, including frontend/backend integration and secure service communication
• Secrets and credential management, such as AWS Secrets Manager or equivalent enterprise solutions
• Enterprise authentication and access control, including SSO, role-based access, and user/workspace separation
• Microservices and AWS orchestration, including ECS, EKS, load balancing, scaling, and multi-service deployment patterns
• Monitoring and observability, including tools such as CloudWatch, X-Ray, Grafana, and application logging
• In-memory caching technologies such as Redis/ElastiCache
• Event-driven and serverless architecture, including patterns similar to Lambda, EMR, and Step Functions
• Python development, including support for Python 3.10+ scripts, parameterized execution, and package-controlled environments
