Business Analyst

  • Contract role - Outside IR35/
  • ACTIVE SC Ideal - However client will sponsor SC for right profile
  • Hybrid working: up to 2-3 days onsite (flexible)

  • Contract length: 6 months extendable

Security Clearance

SC Clearance is required. The client is willing to sponsor clearance for candidates with strong, proven healthcare and clinical systems experience, which will be assessed in depth during the interview process.

Overview

We are supporting a major healthcare transformation programme and are seeking an experienced Healthcare Business Analyst to support the implementation of clinical systems, including LIMS and Telemedicine platforms.

This role is critical in bridging clinical workflows and technical solutions, ensuring systems improve patient care, meet regulatory standards, and operate safely at scale.

Key Requirements (MANDATORY)

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within healthcare environments (NHS, public sector, or equivalent)
  • Strong experience working with clinical systems (eg LIMS, Telemedicine, primary care or community systems)
  • Deep understanding of clinical data and healthcare standards (HL7, FHIR, SNOMED CT)
  • Experience supporting clinical system implementations/digital transformation programmes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement across clinicians (GPs, nurses, AHPs) and technical teams

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation (user stories, functional/non-functional specs)
  • Facilitate workshops with clinical, technical, and operational stakeholders
  • Deliver process mapping (as-is/to-be) and healthcare Pathway redesign
  • Support UAT coordination across multi-site environments
  • Contribute to clinical system configuration, data migration, and integration activities
  • Ensure alignment with clinical governance, GDPR, and regulatory standards
  • Support creation of SOPs, training materials, and business change documentation

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Experience with LIMS and/or Telemedicine platforms
  • Process modelling tools (Visio) and delivery tools (Jira, Confluence)
  • Understanding of clinical system configuration and integrations
  • Experience with data migration and reporting within clinical environments

Desirable

  • Experience with SystmOne or similar clinical systems
  • Knowledge of NHS Care Identity Service (CIS)
  • Certifications: BCS, CBAP, PRINCE2, PMP
