Senior Project Manager - Regulatory Complaince (Contract) at Digital Waffle, United Kingdom, £Contract Rate

Contract Description

Role: Regulatory Compliance Project Manager

Contract: 3–6 months

Day Rate: £300–£400 (Outside IR35)

Start: ASAP

We’re supporting a fast-paced, technology-led business undergoing critical regulatory change, and they need an experienced Project Manager to step in and take control of multiple high-risk workstreams.

This is a hands-on role focused on rescuing and delivering two time-critical regulatory projects, while also leading the initiation of key business change initiatives.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of two regulatory programmes currently at risk, driving them through to full compliance against immovable deadlines (early June and July). Alongside this, you’ll lead the structured kick-off of two additional projects - a Procure-to-Pay (P2P) implementation and a commercial office relocation.

This role requires someone who can operate with real autonomy—making decisions, unblocking issues, and driving pace without needing constant direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the turnaround and delivery of two regulatory compliance projects
  • Create and execute Path to Green recovery plans
  • Ensure full compliance against strict regulatory deadlines
  • Manage post-compliance hypercare and long-tail deliverables
  • Define and implement project governance frameworks (boards, working groups, reporting)
  • Produce high-quality project documentation (PIDs, plans, RAID logs, audit trails)
  • Drive risk and issue resolution proactively and independently
  • Lead the initiation and mobilisation of:
  • Procure-to-Pay (P2P) implementation
  • Office relocation programme
  • Manage third-party vendors and suppliers, holding them accountable for delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven track record delivering regulatory or compliance-driven projects
  • Strong experience recovering challenged or off-track programmes
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management, including senior leadership and suppliers
  • Experience with vendor-heavy projects and commercial delivery
  • Ability to work autonomously and make decisive calls
  • Background in software, telecoms, or B2B technology environments
  • Experience delivering P2P implementations or office relocations
