IFS Finance Consultant - Outside IR35 - Bicester

TalentBank Technology is supporting an organisation within the life sciences sector to engage an experienced IFS Finance Consultant on an initial 6-month contract.

This role sits within a global ERP transformation programme, focused on driving standardisation, simplifying finance processes and maximising the value of IFS across the business. The successful consultant will act as a senior functional expert across IFS Finance, bridging business and IT while shaping scalable, future-ready solutions.

This is a high-impact role suited to a consultant who can combine functional leadership, solution design and stakeholder engagement, while remaining hands-on across delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the functional lead for IFS Finance, supporting transformation, optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive standardisation over customisation, unlocking greater value from core IFS functionality.
• Design scalable solutions that reduce complexity, cost and dependency on external support.
• Support key delivery activities including data migration, SIT/UAT testing and go-live readiness.
• Build internal capability through knowledge transfer, documentation and stakeholder engagement across Finance and IT.

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with IFS Finance (IFS10 and/or IFS Cloud).
• Deep understanding of finance transformation, ERP best practice and solution design.
• Experience supporting core finance processes including month-end, reporting and controls.
• Knowledge of IFS technical configurations including custom fields, events, lobbies and PL/SQL exposure.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across business, IT and third-party partners.
