GenAI Engineer (Contract) – Outside IR35

📍 Near Basingstoke (2 days onsite required) | 💰 £550/day | ⏳ 6 months initial

We’re working with a global organisation that has built a modern tech stack from the ground up and is now investing heavily in Generative AI / LLM capability across the business.

This is a hands-on role within a platform engineering team, focused on designing, building and scaling real-world AI solutions - not just proof of concepts. You’ll play a key role in embedding AI into core business processes and driving automation at scale.

What you’ll be doing:

• Building and deploying GenAI / LLM-based solutions
• Designing scalable ML systems and supporting them in production (MLOps)
• Automating business and IT processes using AI
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to roll out AI capabilities
• Improving engineering practices (CI/CD, DevOps, platform tooling)

What they’re looking for:

• Strong software engineering background (Python / TypeScript)
• Hands-on experience with GenAI / LLMs
• Solid understanding of MLOps and deploying ML systems
• Cloud experience (Azure or GCP)
• Experience delivering real-world AI solutions (not just experimentation)
