The Role

We are looking for a high-calibre Lead Performance Analyst. This is a critical leadership role as we move through the Beta phase and prepare for a rigorous Service Standard Assessment (SSA).

You will be the senior analytical voice within the product team, responsible for transforming complex data into a clear narrative that drives product prioritisation and satisfies Ministerial-level assurance requirements. Your mission is to move beyond simple reporting, you will embed a culture of data-led decision-making and ensure our performance framework is robust, transparent, and aligned with user outcomes.

Core Technology Stack & Skills

  • Adobe Analytics: Expert-level implementation and analysis.

  • Digital UX Tools: Proficiency in Glassbox (or similar session replay/heatmapping tools).

  • Power BI: Advanced capability in developing strategic and operational visualisations.

  • Performance Methodologies: Deep understanding of GDS/Service Standard performance criteria (Completion, Satisfaction, Cost per Transaction, Digital Take-up).

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Own and evolve the KPIs and success measures, acting as the senior voice in product forums and playback sessions.

  • Service Standard Readiness: Provide assurance-ready evidence for SSA and Ministerial approval, ensuring all performance data is defensible and well-documented.

  • Insight Generation: Turn multi-source data into actionable narratives for senior stakeholders, informing product design and roadmap prioritisation.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Data Product Manager to co-ordinate Power BI developments and ensure data quality across the board.

  • Mentorship: Coach and support analysts across the adjacent teams to raise the overall level of analytics maturity.

Key Deliverables & Outputs

You will be expected to deliver the end-to-end Performance Analytics baseline, including:

  1. Service Mapping & Audit: A full end-to-end journey map identifying priority "unhappy paths" and a comprehensive audit of current tracking vs. requirements.

  2. Performance Framework: A signed-off framework defining user outcomes, KPI definitions, and mandatory Service Standard metrics.

  3. The Measurement Stack: Implemented tracking for funnels, drop-offs, entry points, and CSAT integration.

  4. Reporting Ecosystem: A sustainable Power BI dashboard and a documented reporting rhythm for stakeholders.

  5. SSA Evidence Pack: An assessor-ready pack containing measurement plans, narratives, and publishing plans.
