We’re partnering with a top insurer as they continue to modernise their technology landscape with cloud-first platforms, integrations, and automation.

This is an initial 6-month contract (Outside IR35) with a strong likelihood of extension or permanent conversion for the right candidate. Strong possibility of offer of a permanent role after or extensions.

🔧 The Role

As a Back-End Integration Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining APIs and integration services that connect systems across the organisation.

You’ll be hands-on, working across cloud platforms, shaping integration patterns, and improving how data flows between applications—supporting underwriting, operations, and business growth.

⚙️ Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement integrations across internal systems, cloud services, and vendor platforms
• Build APIs, messaging components, and orchestration workflows
• Apply best practices in integration architecture, security, and governance
• Develop secure, maintainable code (C# and/or Python)
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing, and code reviews
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions
• Monitor performance and continuously improve integration reliability and observability

🧠 What We’re Looking For (Essential)

ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE'S!

• Currently working as an SYSTEMS Integration Engineer
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure
• Strong experience with:
• Azure API Management (APIM)
• Azure Logic Apps
• Azure Service Bus & Event Grid
• Azure Integration & Cloud Migration
• Azure Security best practices
• Proficiency in C# and/or Python
• Experience with DevOps / DevSecOps practices
• Strong understanding of REST, messaging, and event-driven architectures

• £700 per day (Outside IR35 – Ltd company required)
• Monthly invoicing (30-day terms)
• Hybrid working (London-based)
• Immediate start required (max 1–2 weeks notice)
• High potential to convert to permanent (£90k–£110k) or extend
